FORLANDO

The Wallis and the Los Angeles LGBT Center will be presenting a one-time only concert in memory and support of the victims of the recent tragedy at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. The tribute takes place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at The Wallis in Beverly Hills. FORlando includes musical performances by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and the cast of Hit the Wall, the immersive play set at NYC’s historic Stonewall Inn in 1969. Actor and activist Wilson Cruz, whose aunt was among the victims on June 12, will moderate “After Orlando: Reflections and Where We Go From Here,” a conversation featuring panelists Kate Kendell, Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and Darrel Cummings, Chief of Staff of the Center.

“The recent tragedy in Orlando has severely impacted our nation and our world. As an arts institution that is dedicated to serving as an essential resource to its surrounding community, The Wallis pays tribute to the Orlando victims and shows its support for everyone affected both in Orlando and right here in Los Angeles,” said The Wallis’s Artistic Director Paul Crewes and Managing Director Rachel Fine. “The Wallis is an advocate for inclusion and this evening aims to further a critical dialogue and demonstrate that there are no boundaries or walls within the arts.”
